our RMS Climate Hazards Team, you will work with meteorologists, statisticians,
climate scientists, engineers, hydrologists, geophysicists, software
professionals, and actuaries to incorporate the modern modeling technologies
into state-of-the-art insurance risk assessment software
tools.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></P>

face=Verdana>Responsibilities include among others: Develop and expand RMS
Tropical Cyclone (TC) models for different areas including the
<st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place
w:st="on">US</st1:place></st1:country-region> and Caribbean. Consider results
from GCM tools and techniques in order to simulate TC-environments and the
influence of climate factors on the storm occurrence and development. Use modern
technologies in order to model real-time storm evolution and storm losses at
high resolution. Manage recent HU hazard information and develop statistical
tools for the assessment of recent hazard data. Adopt modern techniques in order
to model extreme TC events. Interact with the Climate Hazard and research teams
in <st1:State w:st="on">California</st1:State> as well as <st1:City
w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">London</st1:place></st1:City> to incorporate
flood as well storm surge into the simulations. Manage a limited number of less
senior modelers if needed. <o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></P>

assess their portfolio windstorm risk and will enable them to make decisions
related to their allocation of capital and reinsurance

requires a graduate, a Ph.D. or similar degree in meteorology/geophysics,
statistics, or engineering and at least 4 years of experience in climate hazard
and/or risk studies.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Abilities
should include experience in General Circulation Modeling tools and the
interpretation of related results.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</SPAN>Strong analytical skills are required and applicants should be able to
prove that they have abilities to gather, understand, and scrutinize relevant
weather and hazard data from various sources.<SPAN

motivated and self-directed in complex projects and should be
team-oriented.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Solid technical
programming and EDV-knowledge gained through practical experience in e.g. C++ is
