DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS in association with Pembroke College
The Department of Physics proposes to appoint a University Lecturer in Physical Climate Science with effect from 1 October 2013 or earlier. The successful candidate will also be offered a non-tutorial Governing Body Fellowship at Pembroke College, under arrangements described in the further particulars.  The combined University and College salary will be according to experience on a scale from £42,883 up to £57,581 p.a., plus additional College benefits.
This appointment is part of a University-wide initiative in Physical Climate Science. Applicants should have a strong background and active research programme in atmospheric and/or oceanic physics, in areas that complement and enhance the existing strengths of the Sub-department of Atmospheric, Oceanic and Planetary Physics in climate research, including theory, modelling and observations (instrumentation or data analysis). The successful candidate will be expected to participate actively in research, undergraduate and graduate teaching, and relevant administration.
