Assistant Professor Position Opening

The Department of Atmospheric Science at the University of Wyoming (http://www.atmos.uwyo.edu) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level.

We seek an individual who demonstrates the potential and desire to develop an internationally recognized, externally funded research program, and who will be fully involved in the undergraduate and graduate teaching mission of the Department. Preference will be given to candidates with capabilities and interests focused on in situ measurements of aerosol, trace gases, and clouds throughout the atmosphere. It is anticipated that the appointee will strengthen and promote his/her research activities by using and further developing currently available departmental facilities which include the University of Wyoming's balloon launch facility, the W.M. Keck Aerosol Laboratory, the King Air research aircraft, and Elk Mountain Observatory. Ph. D. in atmospheric science or closely related discipline is required at the time of appointment.
