GRADUATE STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES IN ATMOSPHERIC SCIENCE AT RUTGERS UNIVERSITY

The Graduate Program in Atmospheric Science at Rutgers University has multiple
graduate funding opportunities available for research starting Fall 2007 in the
form of Research Assistantships, University Fellowships, GAANN Fellowships, as
well as Teaching Assistantships. We offer courses of study leading to the M.S.
and Ph.D. degrees. The program faculty conducts research on climate change,
atmospheric radiation, large-scale weather systems, severe storms, and air-sea
interactions, with a particular focus on developing an integrated understanding
of climate dynamics, including climate processes from global to regional scales
and climate-chemistry-aerosol interactions. The program is associated with the
Center for Environmental Prediction, which facilitates interdisciplinary
research, education, and outreach in environmental modeling and includes
faculty from the Departments of Environmental Sciences, Geography, Geological
Sciences, Marine and Coastal Sciences, and Civil and Environmental Engineering.
The deadline for application for the Fall semester is March 1. However,
applicants wishing to receive full consideration for all financial aid
opportunities are encouraged to submit all materials by January 15. You can
find more information on faculty, research, and applying at
http://atmos.rutgers.edu/
