<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt"><span style="font-family:"times new roman",serif">The Advanced Study Program is pleased to announce that we are
now accepting applications from students and the NCAR scientific staff for our
Graduate Visitor Program (GVP). The application deadline is October 31, 2016.<span></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt"><span style="font-family:"times new roman",serif"><span> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt"><span style="font-family:"times new roman",serif">The Advanced Study Program's Graduate Visitor Program provides opportunities
to the NCAR staff to bring graduate students to NCAR for visits ranging from a
few months to a full year. These visits have
the goal of enhancing NCAR partnerships with other public and private
institutions while enriching the research of the participating students.<span></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt"><span style="font-family:"times new roman",serif"><span> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt"><span style="font-family:"times new roman",serif">We will once again also be soliciting applications from any
interested GVP applicants for the newly created Warner Internship for
Scientific Enrichment (WISE). This
additional source of funding for graduate student visitors was created in
memory of Professor Tom Warner by the Research Applications Laboratory and
Advanced Study Program of NCAR. Combining research and service to society, in
the spirit of the Professor's approach to science, the Warner Internship for
Scientific Enrichment (WISE) offers graduate student opportunities to engage in
direct exposure to a broad range of atmospheric research applications and
impacts enhancing the student's appreciation for the role of science in service
to society. WISE candidates will be
selected on the applicant's ability to define a two-week plan that promotes
service mindfulness through diversity and inclusion activities and/or
technology transfer activities.<span></span></span></p>
