              style="font-family:'Times New Roman'">Join Craig Fugate,
              the Administrator for the Federal Emergency Management
              Agency (FEMA), for a discussion of the intersection of
              NCAR science and priorities for FEMA over the next several
              years. Administrator Fugate will discuss issues he and
              those in his agency deal with both regularly and less
              frequently. Science is critical for helping anticipate and
              solve many of these problems. FEMA has to manage
              emergencies ranging from extreme weather events, </span><span
              style="font-family:'Times New Roman'">environmental
              emergencies occurring on seasonal or shorter time scales,
              and </span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman'">plan
              for long-term effects of changing climate.</span></big></p>
