From anewman at ucar.edu Tue Oct 3 11:47:43 2023 From: anewman at ucar.edu (Andrew Newman) Date: Tue, 3 Oct 2023 11:47:43 -0600 Subject: [Nsa] PSIF Project Survey to assess the feasibility of cross-organizational training Message-ID: Dear NSA members, Please consider lending your voice to efforts to investigate the feasibility of a cross-organizational training program at NCAR/UCAR/UCP. What As part of a President's Strategic Initiative Fund effort led by staff across the institution (UCAR/NCAR/UCP), job categories, and career stages, you are invited to participate in a brief anonymous survey to gather your opinions, feedback, and assess your interest in a possible cross-organizational training program. If implemented, the program would be tailored to the needs and interests of UCAR/NCAR/UCP. Your feedback in this survey will help: - Determine the interest in a possible cross-organizational training program - Determine the level of support needed for a program - Provide feedback to shape the development of a program. You can participate in the anonymous survey by following this link Why This feasibility study tries to envision an expanded framework allowing all UCAR/NCAR/UCP staff (not just scientists and engineers) to gain work experience in a different lab, center, program, or office. This experience is intended to be temporary and is aimed for staff to be introduced to new science, technical and/or leadership skills. This experience can be viewed as professional development with the goal to increase cross-organizational and program collaborations, help staff develop new skills, and accelerate personal growth. When The survey is open as of Monday, Oct. 2, and will remain open until Friday, Oct. 20. Results will be analyzed by the team leading this effort and a short synthesis report will be made available.
