Dear Colleagues.

A few updates from the NCAR Scientist’s Assembly (NSA) Executive Committee.

We have added some ‘Resources’ to the NSA website:

https://ncar.ucar.edu/nsa/resources

1. We have now published a FAQ resulting from our 2015-6 proposal survey,
which provides some helpful tips regarding how to navigate the NCAR
proposal process, even for unfunded collaborations.

2. We also are highlighting a link to visitor programs on the page.

3. We are updating the NSA constitution to reflect the removal of the NCAR
Science Advisor, and the current composition of the laboratories. The
revisions are posted at:

https://ncar.ucar.edu/sites/default/files/images/NSA_constitution_rev.pdf

If you have comments or questions, please contact me or your NSA
representative (see below).

4. Finally, we are continuing our engagement with NCAR management in the
next few months, discussing input from the NSF Site Visit Teams, and
communication with staff in the current political and funding environment.

I or your NSA-EC representative are open to questions or issues that can be
brought up, or actions we can take as scientists.

Regards,

Andrew Gettelman (CGD, Chair) & NSA Executive Committee:

Jimy Dudhia (MMM), Natasha Flyer (CISL), Alma Hodzik (ACOM), Jeff Lazo
(RAL), Britton Stephens (EOL), Rachel McCrary (CISL, ECSA Co-Chair),
Rebecca Centeno (HAO), Joshua Hacker (RAL)
