Dear colleagues,

I am resending the following message from Jim Hurrell regarding the  
retreat that will
be held on 13 APRIL by the Subcommittee on Scientific and Engineering  
Appointments of
the Workforce Management Plan.

Jim would welcome broad participation by NCAR's scientists and  
engineers in this retreat,
and I would urge to attend, as the subcommittee is in charge of  
recommending policies
that will affect the future status of scientists and engineers at  
NCAR, including the
issue of tenure.

If you plan to attend the retreat, please remember that you need to  
register with
Christina Book (cbook at ucar.edu).  A simple email stating that you  
intend to join the
retreat is all that is needed.
