Unless something changed, there isn’t an easy way to calculate SPEI in NCL (like, there is no function). I used the SPEI package for R when I had to calculate SPEI, which took a while to learn for me (with help from colleagues), but I got my values eventually (monthly SPEI) and was able to use them in NCL from there on to aggregate to what I needed.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Toni<br class=""><div class="">
