<div dir="ltr"><div>Hi Sam,</div><div><br></div><div>I don't know what is causing the contour bleed over, and I'll use your script/data to file a bug report. However, it seems to be related to the combo AreaFill and smoothing. If I turn smoothing off, the problem does not appear. and if I use RasterFill, the problem does not occur (although the plot looks quite a bit different). I have not attempted to play with the smoothing parameters when smoothing is enabled -- its possible some magic combination does the trick, but...</div><div><br></div><div>Rick<br></div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr">On Sun, Nov 25, 2018 at 11:00 PM Sam McClatchie <<a href="mailto:smcclatchie@fishocean.info">smcclatchie@fishocean.info</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex">

I am having a curious problem with contour fill bleed that I can't
seem to fix.<br>

Please download and unzip my ncl code example with the associated

You can run the downloaded ncl script from the ncl directory from
the command line with:<br>
ncl filename.ncl<br>
<br>
The problematic figure that is created by this run is in the
../figures directory.<br>

I've tried to fix the bleed by adjusting the contour smoothing
parameter resource, but have failed. Does anyone know how I can
fix this problem?<br>
<br>
Best fishes, and thanks in advance.<br>
<br>
Hopefully,<br>
