Quoting someone here in the list (I believe it's Dennis) "grib is a moving target" in the sense that the same variable can have different names (but not different codes) depending on which machine you are.<div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Do you have grib_api installed? Did you try to do a ncl_filedump on the file before reading it?
