<div dir="ltr">Hi Noelia,<div>You are already close to the maximum size for your plots based on the options you have chosen and the orientation and domain of the plots. NCL will not distort the map (horizontally in your case) unless you explicitly tell it to do so. Here are a few suggestions:</div><div><br></div><div>1) Set mpShapeMode = "FreeAspect" and set vpWidthF = 0.8 and vpHeightF = 0.6. (The last two settings are guesses.) Setting those three resources will tell NCL to go ahead and stretch/distort each plot so that is wider.</div><div><a href="http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Document/Graphics/Resources/mp.shtml#mpShapeMode">http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Document/Graphics/Resources/mp.shtml#mpShapeMode</a><br></div><div><br></div><div>2) Comment out: pres@gsnPanelBottom = 0.06, and if the resulting plot has the label bar off the bottom of the page set pres@lbOrientation = "Vertical", pres@pmLabelBarWidthF = 0.1 and pres@pmLabelBarHeightF = 0.6. This will move the label bar to the side.</div><div><br></div><div>3) Comment out pres@txString and set your plot title manually by using gsn_text_ndc:</div><div><a href="https://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Document/Graphics/Interfaces/gsn_text_ndc.shtml">https://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Document/Graphics/Interfaces/gsn_text_ndc.shtml</a><br></div><div><br></div><div>4) Change the panel layout by changing this: </div><div> gsn_panel(wks, panelP(:,k), (/7,2/), pres)</div><div> to this: gsn_panel(wks, panelP(:,k), (/5,3/), pres)</div><div><br></div><div>Hope that all helps.
