<div style><ul style><li style><font face="arial, sans-serif">We fixed a serious bug where assigning a variable as an attribute of another variable caused the original <span class="" id=":41b.10" tabindex="-1">variable's</span> "_<span class="" id=":41b.11" tabindex="-1">FillValue</span>" attribute to be modified.<br>
<br></font></li><li style><font face="arial, sans-serif">Possible backwards incompatibility for "<span class="" id=":41b.12" tabindex="-1">isfilepresent</span>": this function has been implemented the way it was originally intended: to check for the existence of a supported file (<span class="" id=":41b.13" tabindex="-1">NetCDF</span>, <span class="" id=":41b.14" tabindex="-1">GRIB</span>, <span class="" id=":41b.15" tabindex="-1">HDF</span>, etc) before trying to open it with <span class="" id=":41b.16" tabindex="-1">addfile</span>.<br>
<br>To check for the existence of any file, regardless of what kind it is, use the new "<span class="" id=":41b.17" tabindex="-1">fileexists</span>" function. <br><br>Older <span class="" id=":41b.18" tabindex="-1">NCL</span> scripts may now fail if you are using "<span class="" id=":41b.19" tabindex="-1">isfilepresent</span>" to check for the existence of any file. Simply change this call to "<span class="" id=":41b.20" tabindex="-1">fileexists</span>" and it should work.</font></li>
