<div dir="ltr">Thanks guys,<br><br>I tried another approach and things seem to fall into place. The problem was not that the colorbar was taking up too much space, but rather that the xlabel string were placed below the colorbar. My panel plot has two columns and making a common colorbar solved the problem.<br>
