Dear NCL users,

Good day!

I'm trying to calculate "Global Radiation (G)" from wrfout file. It seems
to me that Global Radiation and Global Horizontal Irradiation (GHI) are
same. Could you please suggest me whether I am right or wrong?

I have got couple of functions below for calculating solar radiation from
the NCL webpages:

http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Document/Functions/Crop/radsol_fao56.shtml

http://ncl.ucar.edu/Document/Functions/Crop/radsol2_fao56.shtml

*Could you please suggest me how I can calculate G or GHI using NCL*. Can I
use any of the function from the above links?

Or, I should look for other ways?

Your cooperation will be highly appreciated.

Kind regards,
Imran
