[ncl-talk] Can't figure out how to increase thickness of the lines in the legend

Also, you are (I think) using Times-Roman font. I suggest that you use
Helvetica (sharper).
In your .hluresfile (in your home directory), add

! Font stuff
*appClass*Font              : helvetica
