[ncl-install] Error message: fatal:Could not open ($NCARG_ROOT/lib/ncarg/nclscripts/csm/contributed.ncl)

6.2.1 ?  that is 2.5 years old.

The current release is 6.3.0. It contains many additional features not in
6.2.1

Suggestion!

Likely, NCL 6.4.0 will be released in the *very near* future. There is an
internal code freeze and 6.4.0 is under going testing. Certainly, it will
be released in February, 2017. If possible, wait until the 6.4.0 release.

Note: the 6.4.0 release a 'conda' release that should make installation
easier for people.
