Please post questions about Vis5D, GrADS, and RIP to the appropriate email lists. The ncl-install list is for NCL only.

There are instructions on downloading and installing NCL at:

http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Download/

You'll probably want to install from a precompiled binary for Linux so read these two pages:
