[ncl-install] flex error: bad character: %

Jan,

Thanks for your patience with all this and my version typo.  :-)

It's interesting that differnt version of flex has this problem. We
will try to get to the bottom of this, and fix the ncl.l file, if
necessary, so that it should work with either version.
