[ncarg-talk] adjusting time axis in time series

Dear Ms.Mary,
Good afternoon. I have a netcdf file for precipitation and I made a time series from area average and I would like to know how to control the time axis so it can be like this (01-Jan-1995, 01-Apr-1995, 01-Julu-1995, ..., etc). I tried to do this but I couldn't. Can you guide me to add an option to control the time axis? I would be so grateful.
I attached the ncl script I used. Also I used the last version of ncl
