Hi Seth and All NARCCAP Users,

First of all, thank you very much for all discussions so far.

In this regards, I want to ask your help to clarify about some issues
with NARCCAP projections. I found a little bit problems when mapping
CRCM data and ECP2 data with ARCGIS.

I mapped land fraction data and maximum temperature (tasmax) on a
particular day (1983-07-14) of CRCM and overlaid with state boundary,
and I found there is a shifting by a half degree between the two data.
I have checked the central meridian and both already 263. Could you
please help me about this? Is there any step that I wrong? Why these
datasets unmatched geographically?

For ECP2, in the discussion about mapping ECP2, Seth suggested to
apply the following codes so that we can open the data in panoply.

ncatted -a false_easting,polar_stereographic,o,d,4700000 filename.nc
ncatted -a false_northing,polar_stereographic,o,d,8400000 filename.nc

I have applied that codes and able to open the data in panoply and
ARCGIS. However, when I opened the land fraction data and overlaid
with the state boundary, I found the Great Lakes grids are a little
bit far to the North. So, I change the false_northing with 8500000,
and I found the Lakes grids are matched better with the state
boundary. So, is it the false northing for ECP2 is 8400000 or 8500000?

Attached are the maps for CRCM and ECP2, please see the title of each
map. I also indicated the issues on the maps by putting arrows and
boxes.

Best,
Perdinan
