[NARCCAP-discuss] ncdump

I do have some sample R-scripts that I can share with the fellow NARCCAP users. I will try to figure out my Wiki access and move them to the upload area as Seth has suggested.

I used RNetCDF and Fields (what a wonderful package!) packages for most of my work. Since I work in Florida, I first extract the grid points within Florida, the data and the time stamps from a given NetCDF file. Then I concatenate the data sets for all the files in the directory using another script. Once you run 3 scripts, it creates an R-binary data set which has the data, time stamp in POSIX format, lat, long etc. which can then be used with other scripts to analyze the data. On Windows it can be slow and may not have sufficient memory, so I run on Linux most of the time and then move to Windows once the R-data file is created.

Until I find time to transfer the scripts (and perhaps document them better), I will be happy to share the 3 scripts with any of the users. Send me an email if you are intersted (to jobey at sfwmd.gov). (Sorry, they will come with no warranties).
Obey

Do you have some example R scripts?
