[Narccap-announce] WRF landtyp update

Greetings,

We have updated the land-cover variable (from Table 4) for the WRF runs.

This file is available as landtyp_WRF.nc on the main NARCCAP website, not on
ESG: http://www.narccap.ucar.edu/data/table4/

The landtyp variable as it was originally taken from WRF output included
sea-ice.  Sea ice varies over time, and is stored separately as the variable
'sic' in Table 1; the land-cover type for lakes and oceans should be "water",
regardless of whether or not it is iced-over.  We used the land-sea mask
(variable 'sftlf') to correct the landtyp file.  All water grid cells should
now have land cover type water, and the ice land cover type should only occur
over land.
