Announcing the next WRF Tutorial Class
=========================
The next WRF Tutorial class will be held on: July 25-29, 2005
The NCAR MMM Division's will be offering a five-day hands-on WRF
tutorial class on 25-29 July 2005 at the NCAR Foothills Laboratory.
TUTORIAL FOCUS:
The tutorial will consist of a series of lectures on various components
of the WRF modeling system and hands-on practice sessions, including:
Overview of the WRF modeling system
Dynamics and numerics of WRF ARW (or Eulerian mass) core
WRF physics
Initialization
How to set up and run WRF
WRF Software
Post-processing graphic tools
WRF 3DVAR
The tutorial class size is limited due to physical space and
workstations available for practice. The classroom where the practice
session takes place can only take 28 people at a time. As we have 2
practical groups a day, the maximum number of people we can
accommodate is 56. Once a total of 56 users have registered for the
tutorial, all other registrants will be placed on a waiting list for
this tutorial class.
In future we will host 2 WRF tutorials a year. So if you cannot attend
the July tutorial, there will be another in January 2006.
For more information and on-line registration, please visit our Web
page:
http://www.mmm.ucar.edu/events/tutorial05/
Deadline for registration and payment is July 5, 2005.
(We may close registration before this date if too many people
register, so please consider registering early)
