The new scenario process for climate change research: Status, open
questions, and next steps

The climate change research community has been producing a new set of
plausible alternative futures for climate change and society. This talk
will provide an update on where the process currently stands, including
the state of the Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSPs). Several open
questions remain about how to most effectively integrate the SSPs with
climate change projections and how to include new socio-economic
scenarios into the design of the next round of the Coupled (climate)
Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP6).

This talk will be followed by an Open House in our new ISP offices in
the Fleischmann Building from 4-5:30 pm
We hope to see you there!
