exploration, geophysics, renewable energy, supercomputing, medicine, and nanotechnology. The Computer, Computational, and Statistical Sciences (CCS) Division is a vibrant scientific research and development organization working in multiple mission areas of
Los Alamos National Laboratory, including its climate program.</span><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Palatino Linotype",serif;color:black"><u></u><u></u></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:6.0pt"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Palatino Linotype",serif;color:#333333">The Computational Physics Group, CCS-2, seeks a postdoctoral researcher
</span><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Palatino Linotype",serif;color:black">to work on a project aimed at
<b>identifying controls on the strength and variability of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC).</b> In particular we are interested in quantifying the contribution of Agulhas Leakage to the heat and salt budget of the Atlantic through numerical
simulation. </span><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Palatino Linotype",serif;color:#333333">The position is within HiLAT, a DOE-funded project to study regional and global impacts of high-latitude climate change.</span><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Palatino Linotype",serif;color:black"><u></u><u></u></span></p>

with LANL’s Center for Nonlinear Studies (CNLS), which includes a dynamic community of postdocs focused on complex nonlinear problems.<u></u><u></u></span></p>
