<div style="color:#000000">The<span> retreat will be held</span><strong> December 2-6</strong> and is aimed at postdocs and independent investigators who are actively working on professional writing projects such as manuscripts, grant proposals, applications, and research/teaching/personal statements. It will include a mix of formal sessions and less structured, individual writing time. The goal is for participants to make significant progress on their writing projects while improving their written communication skills.<br><br></div>
<div style="color:#000000"><span style="color:#000000">We would appreciate your help in announcing the retreat to anyone who might benefit from it. The application deadline is technically tomorrow but</span><strong><span style="color:#000000"> we'll consider any applications that are submitted by first thing Monday morning (</span><span style="color:#a20000">October 19th</span></strong><strong>)</strong>. Application instructions, including links to online forms, are described in the above Web page. I'm happy to field any questions, and potential applicants can contact me directly to express their interest in applying.
