        Announcing the 2013 CU Graduate Research Symposium, hosted by
        the<br>
        Department of Atmospheric &amp; Oceanic Sciences.<br>
        <br>
        Graduate research in geoscience at the University of Colorado
        and<br>
        nearby institutes is amongst the very best in the nation and<br>
        frequently receives international recognition in the wider
        research<br>
        community. The annual Research Symposium aims to highlight
        graduate<br>
        research though a community-building poster conference that
        focuses on<br>
        the areas of Earth, the environment, energy, climate and
        planetary<br>
        science from a range of disciplinary and interdisciplinary<br>
        perspectives. We invite contributions in science, technology and<br>
        policy from graduate students across the community and
        departments and<br>
        institutes at University of Colorado.<br>

        What: Poster Conference<br>
        When: <span tabindex="0" class=""><span class="">November 1,
            2013</span></span><br>
        Where: UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom<br>
        Time: <span tabindex="0" class=""><span class="">10 AM - 2 PM</span></span><br>
        Registration Deadline: <span tabindex="0" class=""><span
            class="">October 15, 2013</span></span><br>
        <br>
        In the past we have had contributions from several departments
        across<br>
        CU and institutes such as the Cooperative Institute for Research
        in<br>
        Environmental Sciences (CIRES), Institute of Arctic and Alpine<br>
        Research (INSTAAR) and Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space
        Physics<br>
        (LASP). We particularly welcome contributions from graduate<br>
        researchers based at NCAR, NOAA, UCAR and others across the
        Front<br>
        Range community. The timing of the poster Research Symposium (1<br>
        November) is strategically chosen to be in advance of the AGU
        Fall<br>
        meeting and the AMS annual meeting to provide an opportunity to<br>
        showcase results, and provide a preview to the local research<br>
        community.<br>

        Please submit a title and brief abstract (less than 300 words)
        to<br>
