accepted for the second biennial Gordon Research Seminar (GRS)
on Radiation and Climate to be held July 6-7, 2013 at
Colby-Sawyer College in New Hampshire.<b> The GRS </b></span><span

students, post-docs, and other early-career scientists to
present and exchange cutting-edge ideas on outstanding
issues </b></span><span style="font-family: Arial; "><b>in
the field of radiation and climate</b>. </span><span

style="font-family: Arial; ">precedes the eight Gordon
Research Conference (GRC) on July 7-12, 2013, also at
Colby-Sawyer College, and is thus a great opportunity to
engage in discussions in a non-threatening environment, and
break the ice, before the GRC starts.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

Process-Level Understanding of Radiation, Cloud and Climate

style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial; ">across a range
of topics, that include, but are not limited to: radiation,
convection, and large-scale dynamics; radiation at the Earth’s
surface; and the role of clouds. Abstracts that focus on a
process-level understanding of these disciplines are
encouraged, and especially those that do so through a
synthesis of observations and models.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

attendees are expected to actively participate in the GRS
either by giving an oral presentation or presenting a poster
and therefore, all applications must include an abstract.
Those applicants who wish to be considered for an oral
presentation should submit an abstract by March 6, 2013. All
other applications need to submit an abstract by June 8,
