The forwarded email was initially sent from Neil Barker on June 1
about a two-day
workshop on Professional Grant Development, July 12-13, at CG1-South Bay.
As a friendly reminder, please share this information with all Principal
Investigators in your lab/program. There is no charge for the workshop,
which is open to all employees involved in developing proposals.
The workshop will cover how to navigate the world of grant procurement,
identify the critical sections of successful proposals, and demonstrate the
excellence and innovation that propels a proposal beyond other submissions.

NCAR/UCP Professional Grant Development Workshop for PIs
Thursday, July 12 - Friday, July 13
8:30 am - 4:15 pm
Center Green 1 Auditorium, South Bay

*The deadline to register is this Friday, June 15*. Space is limited to 40
attendees, so registration will be first-come, first-served. *As of today,
we have 14 spaces left.* Send all registration requests to me by EOB on
June 15 via email.

What to bring
Individuals are encouraged to bring a research idea, abstract, project
summary, or other relevant materials to the workshop for discussion with
the facilitator.

About the workshop facilitator
The workshop will be facilitated by Mathilda Harris, executive director of
the Grant Training Center. Harris has 25 years of experience writing
grants, conducting workshops, developing strategic plans, and assisting
individuals and institutions nationally and internationally to successfully
write and receive funding from federal, corporate, private, foundation, and
multilateral donors.  She has served as an evaluator for grant competitions
conducted by many federal agencies, including the National Science
Foundation, Department of Education, and Department of State. Harris holds
a doctorate from George Washington University, Washington, D.C. More
