[Grad-postdoc-assn] Fwd: CU-Boulder's Office of Postdoctoral Affair Open House

This is an exciting new development at CU:  An Office of Postdoctoral
Affairs.  This event is for postdocs only, not graduate students.  While it
is at CU, they specifically mention serving as a resource to the affiliated
National Labs, so I would think that NCAR postdocs would be welcome to
attend and learn more.

Dear Postdocs,


We are pleased to announce the opening of CU-Boulder’s Office of
Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA), which will operate under the Office of the Vice
Chancellor for Research.


The OPA will enhance and support postdoctoral training and career
development, help build a sense of community among postdocs, and serve as a
resource to campus and affiliated National Labs. The OPA will work
collaboratively with the PAC and other on-campus offices to develop
workshops, and will help connect postdocs and their mentors with programs
and resources at CU-Boulder.

Dr. Leah Colvin Wanshura is the Director of the newly established OPA.
Leah received her Ph.D. from Mayo Graduate School and completed her
postdoctoral training at the University of Minnesota, where she also served
as the President of the Postdoctoral Association.


In the months ahead, look for upcoming announcements for additional
resources and activities for postdocs. In the meantime, if you have
