Hi Paula,
I am a CU graduate student working with Mary Barth in ACD, and I am
helping to organize the CU Graduate Research Symposium. Would it be
possible to forward this announcement to current visiting grad students
at NCAR?
Thanks!
Cheers,
Megan

Announcing the 2013 CU Graduate Research Symposium, hosted by the
Department of Atmospheric & Oceanic Sciences.

Graduate research in geoscience at the University of Colorado and nearby
institutes is amongst the very best in the nation and frequently
receives international recognition in the wider research community. The
annual Research Symposium aims to highlight graduate research though a
community-building poster conference that focuses on the areas of Earth,
the environment, energy, climate and planetary science from a range of
disciplinary and interdisciplinary perspectives. We invite contributions
in science, technology and policy from graduate students across the
community and departments and institutes at University of Colorado.

What: Poster Conference
When: November 1, 2013
Where: UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom
Time: 10 AM - 2 PM
Registration Deadline: October 15, 2013

In the past we have had contributions from several departments across CU
and institutes such as the Cooperative Institute for Research in
Environmental Sciences (CIRES), Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research
(INSTAAR) and Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP). We
particularly welcome contributions from graduate researchers based at
NCAR, NOAA, UCAR and others across the Front Range community. The timing
of the poster Research Symposium (1 November) is strategically chosen to
be in advance of the AGU Fall meeting and the AMS annual meeting to
provide an opportunity to showcase results, and provide a preview to the
local research community.

Please submit a title and brief abstract (less than 300 words) to
atocposterconference at gmail.com <mailto:atocposterconference at gmail.com>
and specify which session you would like to be listed under:

1. Clouds, Aerosols & Atmospheric Chemistry
2. Atmosphere & Ocean Dynamics
3. Remote Sensing & Exosphere
4. Polar Regions and Sea Ice Processes
5. Boundary Layer and Land Surface Processes
6. Biogeochemical Processes in the Earth System
7. Energy Resources

If you do not see an ideal session match, please pick the closest option
or email atocposterconference at gmail.com
<mailto:atocposterconference at gmail.com> to check if we can modify our
session topics to accommodate you.

Mark your calendars and come join us!
