FACULTY POSITION ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, SYNOPTIC-DYNAMIC METEOROLOGY 
Florida State University The Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric 
Science is announcing an opening for a tenure-earning appointment in 
meteorology at the assistant professor level with a target hiring date 
of August 2012. We are particularly interested in applicants who have 
expertise in synoptic and dynamic meteorology, and who have keen 
interest in bridging the two areas in both teaching and research. The 
position will involve research, teaching at the graduate and 
undergraduate level, and service. The successful applicant is expected 
to develop an aggressive, externally-funded research program. Applicants 
should forward a statement of research interests and professional goals, 
a statement of teaching interests, a current complete CV, and the names
