ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, SYNOPTIC-DYNAMIC METEOROLOGY
Florida State University

The Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Science is announcing an
anticipated opening for a tenure-earning appointment at the Assistant
Professor level with a target hiring date of August 2012.

We are particularly interested in an applicant who has expertise in synoptic
meteorology and dynamic meteorology, and keen interest in bridging the two
areas in both teaching and research.

The anticipated position would involve research, teaching (at the graduate
and undergraduate level), and service.     It is expected that the
successful applicant will develop an aggressive, externally-funded research
program.

and a curriculum vita to Dr. Robert Hart atrhart at fsu.edu.  The anticipated
date for a formal announcement is 1 January 2012.  The formal announcement
will require a letter of application, curriculum vitae, research statement, teaching
philosophy and contact information for three references.
