Dear Colleagues:

Attached is the announcement for the 2011 Geophysical Fluid Dynamics
Program at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. In 2011 the theme of
the lectures will be Shear Turbulence: Onset and Structure, with
principal lecturers by Fabian Waleffe and Richard Kerswell.

(Instead of attaching the file, here is the URL to it from the GFDL
web site. http://www.whoi.edu/fileserver.do?id=44763&pt=2&p=19332 )

We would appreciate it if you would please bring this announcement to
the attention of graduate students who might be interested in applying
for one of this year's fellowships. The fellowships are intended for
graduate students who have completed their graduate coursework and are
just beginning their research, but all qualified applicants are
seriously considered. We expect to award about 10 fellowships this year.

If you are interested in attending the Program as a staff member,
please contact Norman Lebovitz at lebovitz at cs.uchicago.edu
<mailto:lebovitz at cs.uchicago.edu> or Phil Morrison at
morrison at physics.utexas.edu <mailto:morrison at physics.utexas.edu>

Thank you!
