The Laboratory of Atmospheric and Climate Sciences (LAC) in Toledo,
Spain, invites applications for six appointments in the field of
atmospheric sciences, at the research scientist and postdoctoral levels.
LAC is a research center newly created by the Spanish National
Scientific Research Council (CSIC) in conjunction with the Foundation
for Environment of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. The main focus of research
at LAC will be atmospheric composition and climate interactions.
This is the initial call for the formation of the LAC group. Applicants
should have an interest in conducting collaborative research in one or
more of the following areas: satellite-based remote sensing,
ground-based and /in situ/ observations, and atmospheric
chemistry-climate modeling. Members of the LAC group will interact
closely on a range of projects. Because they are expected to work as
members of an international team, candidates for all positions are
required to have excellent communication skills in English, both oral
and written. Salary for all positions is commensurate with
qualifications and experience, and is based on the CSIC salary scale.
