[Grad-postdoc-assn] Get out the vote! Thompson Lecture Series Social on Friday!

Hello All,

just a quick reminder that we would like to encourage everyone (ALL NCAR
postdocs are invited to attend) who cannot attend this Friday's social
(3:30PM ML Damon Room at 3:30 pm) to send in your votes for your Thompson
Lecture Series candidates before noon on Friday. What we would like is to
have you vote for your TOP 2 candidates, specifying which is your FIRST
and SECOND candidate (NOT telling you how to vote, BUT in the spirit of
diversity, you might want to consider giving at least one of your votes
for a candidate outside of your field/division). Please see the swiki web
page http://swiki.ucar.edu/thompson-lecture/1 for a current list of
nominees. (For those who have not yet submitted your nominees, this is
your last chance!) Please send your votes to one of the following email
addresses: hopson at ucar.edu; corbosie at ucar.edu; gyuwon at ucar.edu;
adesai at ucar.edu.

Also a reminder that for those of you who have submitted a nomination and
will be attending this Friday, you are very welcome to give a short
statement about why you nominated that individual (we want to keep this
informal; however, if you would like to give a more formal slide
presentation, please let us know so we can make sure there will be a
projector in the Damon room). However, either way, at the minimum we will
read the descriptions of all the nominees as submitted to the swiki before
the vote.
