[Grad-postdoc-assn] Postdoc ski trip (with free transportation and ski lessons) - interested?

Now that Boulder's first real snow has fallen, it's time to start
thinking about skiing (if you haven't already). I've been thinking about
organizing a post-doc/grad student all day ski trip as an informal
social (open to the whole grad-postdoc assn group and families), because
what meteorology (or related field) Ph.D. (or soon-to-be or even
wannabe) doesn't love experimenting with gravity (on themselves)?

NCAR (via ASP) has offered to provide transportation (van rental). My
wife, a PSIA-certified Level I ski instructor, has offered to provide a
free morning group ski lesson to first timers and those who haven't
skied in awhile (this offer is contingent on us finding childcare, say
from someone who doesn't want to ski, but likes preschoolers instead, or
wants to ski with a 3 yr old (note: not ski like a 3 yr old)). I will
also buy a free beer (or preferred apres ski beverage) to all first
timers (good for sore joints, you know?).

Destination of choice would most likely be Eldora or Loveland, the 2
closest (and cheaper) resorts (Loveland unlike Eldora has on-site
childcare for $50). Aiming for a weekend (Sat or Sun) in Dec or Jan, but
open to any idea. Lift tickets (~$30-40 at group rate), ski rentals
(~$30) and meals would be at your own expense. Some date proposals: Sun
Dec 10, Dec 16/17, Jan 1, Jan 6/7, 15 (Mon), 20/21, 27/28, Feb 3/4.

Details will follow sometime in Nov, but right now I'd like to get an
approximate count of people who may be interested and any opinions they
have on dates, location, etc... so I can start planning logistics. Thanks!
