I don't believe you've changed the "user group" yet for ACCESS1.0:<br>

If you want to make your ACCESS1.0 model output available under
CMIP5, we need to change the "user group" to either "CMIP
research" (for research and educational purposes only) or "CMIP
commercial" (for unrestricted access). If you don't know how to
do this, then please email Bob Drach who can guide you. [Perhaps
Bob is the one who needs to do this, but he won't do this without
your authorization.] <br>
<br>
Last week we changed the "availability" listing at
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://cmip-pcmdi.llnl.gov/cmip5/availability.html">http://cmip-pcmdi.llnl.gov/cmip5/availability.html</a> to say that
output is now available from ACCESS1.0, but we assumed the "user
group" was about to be changed. We should remove ACCESS1.0 from
that table if you don't plan to give access to one of the CMIP5
user groups. [Note we also provide links to your wiki.]<br>

Through ESGF users belonging to the "CMIP5 research" group
should be able to access your data. Once you give them access,

log is created on your data node with this information. Bob
Drach or Gavin Bell (copied) can tell you where this log is.<br>

If you want to provide users with more information about your

1) You can put that information (or links to it) on your

2) I can insert a link for the ACCESS1.0 entry in the table at

that takes users to your wiki. I will plan to ask other groups

Let me know about 2).<br>

Is this satisfactory?<br>

We were planning to enroll everyone who requests to join ACCESS1-0 group, allowing us to see who is downloading the data and also send a message to people when they enroll. (Obviously the description "Restricted access to ACCESS Model by CAWCR" is incorrect).
Is it preferable to use the CMIP5_Research group? If we use this, is there any way to get a list of people who have downloaded ACCESS data?
In addition, is there any way we can have message to everyone who downloads data, e.g.
"Information about the published ACCESS model data is available on the wiki. Hi Mark,
Your gateway administrator (Muhammad Atif, I believe) can change this as follows:
* Login to the gateway as administrator
* Browse to the collection that contains the ACCESS1 datasets
* Select Administration -> Edit this collection metadata
* Change the read ownership to the 'CMIP5 Research' group, and additionally the 'CMIP5 Commercial' group if desired.
That should do it.
Regards,

Subject: Re: [Go-essp-tech] CSIRO-BOM ACCESS1.0
Hi Mark,
I think your model output is still only accessible to the "CAWCR" (or "ACCESS1-0") group members -- at least when I try to download your data, I get the message "Restricted access to ACCESS Model by CAWCR"). You (or Bob Drach?) need to make it available to the "CMIP5 Research" group (assuming you are releasing your data only for "research and educational" purposes, as opposed to "unrestricted").
Bob (or anyone who knows how this works), please tell Mark how to do this.
thanks,
Karl

Hi,
this may not quite be quite the right place to advertise model submissions but due to its lateness and the need to get some recognition in the AR5 cycle I would like to draw your attention to ACCESS1.0 model data sets that are now available (officially from 13th February 2012) from the NCI ESG:
<a moz-do-not-send="true" class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://esg.nci.org.au/esgcet/home.htm">http://esg.nci.org.au/esgcet/home.htm</a>
Although only a small set at the moment, we expect it to grow quite quickly over the coming weeks. There is an opportunity for a second model submission in the near future which will likely be called ACCESS1.3, however, more on that later. We encourage you to inform your local modelling analysis groups of this news.
Regards,
Mark.
