combination of access to the ‘traditional’ data node URLs and DRS
ones sound like it could be difficult to resolve with the catalogs. As
you say separate mapping code would be needed for GridFTP but if it was written
cleverly enough it could re-use the code from the filter.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

ESG federation. Several options were discussed briefly at NCAR last week
but we didn't talk details. I've attached a document with 4 options for
how we could do it. I'd appreciate input on extra options and
advantages/disadvantages of what's already there.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
