I'll asert that we want to reduce individual ownership and increase partnerships
(espceially given the trashing I got at the meeting!). WHen I see a logo-
my assumption is that an orgainzation "owns" the effort..... <br>
<br>
With "Participant" emblazed unto the logo- the sense of collaboration is
emphised. The partnership thing is the buzzword these days.... 4cents.

<pre wrap="">I like it - but without the participant. It's a given, I assume, that you
use the logo, you are a participant.
Shame the reduction loses the globe behind the handshak - I like it behind.
Don't care one way or other about hyphen.
Esp3-part font/color ok
Ps - if we use GOEST we can also have a theme song by the village people, or
was it pet shop boys (I'm dating myself here ...)

up to 3cents now....
I've placed finalists onto Powerpoint slideshows and onto static Web
pages to see how they looked being reduced in size. Still not happy, I
went back to the early icons to see how they handle this. esp3 blends
in well with various backgrounds, and still has detail even when reduced
significantly. It also places the globe in the PC as in individual
entity and looks like something is going on with computers and the earth
(even when reduced). The new ones have a partial globe and when
reduced, it's not apparent what the heck it is....
I also like the participant aspect- and that all members should be
participants.....
..guess I'll get back to work now....

<pre wrap="">I'll chime in with a vote to move away from acronyms that already
exist. So many ESSP's ESP, ESIP, etc., are already out there. While
GOES does not work for me either since that's the US operational
geostationary satellite. I liked the GOEST. It has some potential
meaning in that these Technologies should be in the background doing
what it does best- kinda like the cirrus thing. Necessary but
invisible to the user. #2 vote is the GO-ESSP. Regarding
imagery--are all the options in the Web? I've lost track of which is
which. Glenn

<pre wrap="">It seems that more people prefer the heavier yellow font (Arial Bold
slightly widened) over the lighter light-blue font (Gill Sans Light

It seems of those who care, there is a preference for the hyphen in
go-essp/goessp. Can we agree to this?
Does go-essp/goessp win the new name contest opposed to goes, goest,
goesp, etc.
If we can arrive at answers for these, then we will have a logo.
I will assume that a lack of responses indicates a choice of go-essp
