Hi,

We're homing in on it. Now all that's left, as Balaji says, is at the
"nitpicky level". We owe Eric a big round of applause and the first
annual GOESSP "above and beyond" award for patiently responding to our
suggestions.

I've placed my reactions to this latest round in a little web page at
http://tmap.pmel.noaa.gov/~rhs/ESP/. (Summary: I like esp12.jpg, but
miss the hyphen). Please do not confuse my somewhat tongue in check
response on the web page for a lack of gratitude. Eric has designed a
professional looking logo for us and I certainly appreciate it.
Unfortunately, groups seem to have a way of exhausting folks with
talent that volunteer. Wouldn't it be nice if we could just...

Fabulous.
OK, so now I'm embarassed (again ... :-) ... at least I'm used to
it :-)
In Roland's original I saw the hands in the computer screen as an
(electric)
torch, shining light on the scene, which I thought was a nice
concept.
However, now I recognise what it is (hands), I like that even
better ... so,
I very much like Roland's versions of Eric's which has the best of
both ...
(ie the ones in the email where Roland points out I'm off in the
weeds about
torches).
I agree with Balaji, getting the extra S in there will be a *very*
good thing.
So, can we have GO-ESSP in both of the versions (main+participant)
Roland just
sent around, and then finally, either change the font or simply put
a border
(oval?) around it so it can sit on any colour background naturally.
Thanks guys, and sorry for sounding so demanding ... if I could do
it myself,
I would ... (and sorry Eric for the red herring about the torch ...)
Cheers
Bryan
