The candidate is expected to assist in the high spatial resolution simulations of regional climate change at convective resolving spatial scales. In particular, this position is for applications of the Weather Research Forecasting (WRF) model and similar regional scale weather/climate models at these spatial scales for multi-decadal simulations on high performance computing platforms, scaling models to existing and emerging platforms and optimizing model performance.
