<span style="color:black">This research project will develop new tools for cost-benefit analysis of environmental policy by integrating econometric analysis with atmospheric chemistry modeling. The project will be carried out under a grant by the European Research
Council to Prof. Ulrich Wagner at the University of Mannheim (Germany), in collaboration with Prof. Daven Henze at the University of Colorado Boulder.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;margin-left:36.0pt">
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to conduct interdisciplinary research on topics such as industrial emissions, urban air pollution, chemistry-climate interactions, as well as the causal impacts of air pollution on human health and their valuation.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;margin-left:36.0pt">
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in atmospheric chemistry or related fields and substantial experience in 3-D modeling such as GEOS-Chem, WRF-Chem, CMAQ, or CESM. Additional experience relevant to the project, e.g. in analysis of satellite observations or in
cost benefit analysis of health and climate impacts of emissions scenarios, is a plus.
<span style="color:black">We seek applicants with a strong motivation to contribute to interdisciplinary research and an outstanding ability to communicate with researchers from other disciplines.
