Scientist</span></strong> to work on laser-based instrumentation for measurement of atmospheric constituents. This position will work primarily on developing fiber laser-based instrumentation for the measurement of atmospheric trace gases. Our Research Scientist
is expected to work independently and with scientists and engineers in the Atmospheric Composition and Chemical Processes group at CSD, and with collaborators at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to improve upon existing ultraviolet
single-frequency fiber-based laser systems for deployment on mobile platforms including research aircraft. An initial focus of this work is the measurement of concentrations and isotopic composition of sulfur dioxide and nitric oxide throughout the troposphere
