A post-doctoral researcher is sought for a collaborative NSF-funded project on tundra biogeochemistry in arctic Alaska. This researcher will use a suite of geochemical, analytical, and spectroscopic tools to investigate biogeochemical reactions across environmental
 gradients, with an emphasis on iron and phosphorus interactions.<br>
<br>
<b>Major Duties/Responsibilities:</b><br>
The selected candidate will have responsibility for leading collaborative field expeditions to investigate biogeochemical processes in arctic tundra near Toolik Field Station in Alaska, with an emphasis on using environmental sensors and analytical techniques
 to monitor redox processes across multiple scales. Additional responsibilities will include conducting geochemical analyses in the laboratory, maintaining detailed scientific records, analyzing experimental data, presenting results within the research group
 and at national and international conferences, and preparing manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals. The postdoc is also expected to participate as a collaborator with project PIs and mentor graduate and undergraduate students from partner institutions
 during field campaigns.<br>

• Desired skills include expertise in aqueous geochemistry (particularly related to redox chemistry), environmental sensors, analytical/spectroscopic characterization methods, and/or statistical analysis of large datasets.<br>
• Solid record of productive and creative research demonstrated by publication in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at scientific conferences.<br>
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, with the ability to design and execute experiments, perform data analyses, and interpret experimental results.<br>
