<p class="MsoNormal" style="background:white"><span style="font-size:13.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:#363636">MDB has been leading the development of several coupled meteorology-chemistry models for many years. One of these models – Weather Research
Forecasting coupled with Chemistry (WRF-Chem) is a widely used regional air quality model around the world (<a href="https://ruc.noaa.gov/wrf/wrf-chem/"><span style="color:#006DB1">https://ruc.noaa.gov/wrf/wrf-chem/</span></a>). The coupled meteorology-chemistry
models developed at ESRL/GSD allow simulating complex aerosol-meteorology interactions on regional and global scales. In recent years MDB in collaboration with other groups at NOAA, EPA, and NASA has been leading the development of a new air quality forecasting
model based on Finite Volume Cubed Sphere dynamical core (FV3), which is selected for the new operational weather forecast modeling system by NOAA/NCEP.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
