a focus on applying analysis of large datasets to complex problems in global change and conservation in forested biomes. We seek an enthusiastic colleague who uses innovative analytical tools to ask questions that integrate national, networked, and/or global
data (including but not limited to remote sensing data or ecological network data on vegetation communities, tree or forest growth or loss patterns, biodiversity, invasive species spread, census data, housing and transportation patterns, or global trade data).<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:7.5pt;line-height:13.2pt"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">This is a 9-month, 1.0 FTE, tenure-track position with responsibilities for teaching, advising, research, service and outreach.
The appointee will be expected to teach a graduate class on fundamental scientific inquiry to students from a broad range of disciplines and research paradigms, an undergraduate class in the OSU Natural Resources curriculum, and another course within the candidate’s
area of expertise. We welcome applicants with diverse areas of research expertise, such as ecology, wildlife, socio-ecological systems, global change, environmental studies, conservation, or human dimensions, who are conducting research within the broad context
of terrestrial systems especially treed ecosystems and forest biomes, and who have skills to analyze and apply large and complex data sets to address research questions. Interdisciplinary collaborations with faculty in the College of Forestry and other departments
across campus are expected, as is a demonstrated potential for nationally and internationally recognized scholarship.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

in a wide range of disciplines, including natural resource social science, tree physiology, climate change and carbon dynamics, biodiversity conservation, protected area management, silviculture, landscape and wildlife ecology, and fire ecology. We tackle
