Professor </span>in the <span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700; font-family: Avenir-Heavy, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">Department of Geology </span>starting September 1<span style="box-sizing: border-box; position: relative; font-size: 10.5px; line-height: 0; vertical-align: baseline; top: -0.5em;">st </span>2020.
We seek outstanding candidates who hold (by Sept 1, 2019) a Ph.D. in Geology/Geoscience, or a closely related discipline. The successful candidate will have demonstrated early success at research and publication. Postdoctoral experience is a plus. We seek
candidates who have a global focus -- established international collaborations are a plus. The <span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700; font-family: Avenir-Heavy, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">areas of expertise are open</span>, however, preference
will be given to applicants engaged in classic and emerging approaches to understanding modern and ancient climate change including, but not limited to, <span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700; font-family: Avenir-Heavy, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">cryosphere </span><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700; font-family: Avenir-Heavy, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">evolution</span>, <span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700; font-family: Avenir-Heavy, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">geomorphology</span>, <span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700; font-family: Avenir-Heavy, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">glaciology</span>, <span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700; font-family: Avenir-Heavy, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">geodynamics </span>, <span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700; font-family: Avenir-Heavy, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">geophysics</span>,
and <span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700; font-family: Avenir-Heavy, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">climate and ocean modeling</span>. Scholars hired in the School of Earth & Environment will have superior communication skills and will have
demonstrated a deep commitment to sharing their science with the public.</p>

campus, is closely associated with the School of Earth & Environment and provides unique research opportunities and teaching resources to faculty members and students. Rowan’s main campus is located on the Atlantic Coastal Plain, which exposes Holocene through
Cretaceous outcrops, including a K/Pg section at the quarry. The Piedmont and Appalachian provinces are 20 minutes and 1 hour away, respectively. The Atlantic coast and the Delaware Bay estuary are within an hour’s drive.</p>
